Our Story

Magia was founded in 1998 in Perth Western Australia as SDS Group and has been an Oracle Partner since 2006.  Primarily focused on Oracle BI solutions, we expanded into Oracle ERP solutions from 2004 until 2013 when the focus shifted to Oracle Cloud technologies.  Magia was formed in 2015 in the UK and US and the merging of these organisations with the Australian Magia entity has resulted on the brand as it is today.

Steve has over 20 years of Executive, Project Management, Functional & Technical experience across a diverse range of industries, at both a small and large corporate level. His strong business analysis skills along with a diversified knowledge of business systems and their processes make him an excellent leader and decision maker. His proven record in delivering key business solutions to a wide range of industries has helped lead Magia to success in multiple countries over a number of years.

Chris has extensive experience in delivering business growth, solution delivery and business transformation via successful adoption of technology.  Always ensuring customer satisfaction through successful delivery of measurable return on investment is key to Chris’ success.  Chris has operated in a wide variety of industries over his 20 year career and has delivered a variety of applications, platform and infrastructure solutions for his customers. He now heads up the Australian Magia operations as Chief Operating Officer and will be expanding upon his proven track record for success.

Peter has worked for over 20 years exclusively with Oracle technologies.  Innovation and creativity with the application of technology to suit business needs is his strength, in addition to an inherent understanding of Oracle technologies at all levels.  Peter has a strong background in mining and local state and federal government among many others.  He leads up the Magia tech and innovation practices and is always striving to leverage the latest technology for intuitive business solutions.

With over 20 years in the IT industry invested in Oracle Application Products and Technologies, Paul brings an immense wealth of knowledge to the Magia Team.  Paul owns project delivery and brings project and solution rigor to the Magia Australia practice.  Previously having worked at Oracle, Paul now heads the technical team as Delivery Manager

John Hall

Business Development Manager

John brings 20 years of sales and account management experience to the Magia Team. He has held previous roles in the San Francisco Bay Area/Silicon Valley, and has had significant exposure to start-up environments and emerging technologies. In addition, he has been responsible for managing major accounts such as VISA, Nike, Intel, Costco and Weyerhaeuser. John has a deep understanding of the needs and drivers of both innovative and nimble start-ups, as well as firmly established, large corporates.

Grant heads up our Operations Team and is a proven asset in providing excellent service to both our on premise and cloud-based clients.  Grant delivers a variety of our customers support and maintenance needs via our skilled operations team.  With over 15 years’ experience with Oracle Applications Products and Technologies, he brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the team.

Business Development Manager

Peter prides himself on energizing both customers and teams to greater outcomes and brings Magia over 20 years’ experience in IT specifically as a  SaaS Sales/Services Manager. As an International Entrepreneurial Executive with Business Development and  Account Management experience in delivering growth, solution sales and go-to market strategy. He has successfully helped mid-market, enterprise retailers and brands with e-commerce, Online Marketplaces, SaaS, PaaS and Digital Marketing services. He has a broad knowledge of e-commerce, SaaS, PaaS and the Australian and International retail industry and will be accountable for driving product leadership, growing market share, and building more successful relationships with customers in the Australian and New Zealand markets.

With more than 28 years of experience, John has extensive ICT Service Management experience gained by working with a variety of multinational Financial Market and Western Australian clients. As National Operations Manager, John heads up Magia Solutions – Support, providing support services for both on-premise and Cloud-based clients.
